A multiple measures some aspect of a company's financial well-being, determined by dividing one metric by another metric.

The book value of an asset is equal to its carrying value on the balance sheet and is calculated by netting the asset against its accumulated depreciation. Book value is also the net asset value of a company, calculated as total assets minus intangible assets (patents, goodwill) and liabilities.

Quantitative tightening (QT) is the reverse process of quantitative easing, the monetary policy adopted by the world’s major central banks to reduce interest rates and create money following the world financial crisis. QT involves the draining of that money from the financial system in order to normalize, i.e., raise interest rates in order avoid runaway inflation.

An emerging market (EM) economy is a nation's economy that is progressing toward becoming advanced, as shown by some liquidity in local debt and equity markets and the existence of some form of market exchange and regulatory body.

A real interest rate is an interest rate that has been adjusted to remove the effects of inflation to reflect the real cost of funds to the borrower and the real yield to the lender or to an investor.
